Retail Plazas And
Shopping Centres
Customer parking, tenant entrances and cart runs clear before the first store opens, with piles kept off the spaces your tenants are paying for.
A Plaza Runs On Its Tenants
A plaza has a dozen businesses with different opening hours and one shared parking lot. The coffee shop opens at six and the medical office at nine, and all of them expect their frontage done.
We set the schedule from the earliest opening on the property, so the lot and the entrances are finished before the first customer arrives rather than at some point during the morning.
The piles matter as much as the plowing. Snow stacked in the middle of the lot costs you customer parking for the rest of the winter and blocks the sightlines at the exits, so pile locations are agreed before the season and relocated when they grow.
What We Handle
- Customer parking and drive aisles
- Tenant frontages and entrance walkways
- Cart corrals and cart runs
- Garbage and recycling enclosure approaches
- Loading and delivery areas at the rear
- Fire routes and accessible parking
- Sightlines at entrances and exits
- Pylon sign and landscape island areas
Clearing Priority
Agreed with the property manager before the season and written into the service plan.
| Area | Why it comes first | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Tenant entrances | The first thing a customer walks on, and where a fall claim starts. | Before the earliest opening |
| Main drive aisles | Opens the lot so customers can reach the frontages. | Before the earliest opening |
| Customer parking | Cleared in sections, piles kept to agreed areas. | Before opening, then as needed |
| Accessible parking and curb cuts | Must be clear and treated, not blocked by a plow windrow. | Checked every pass |
| Fire routes | Kept passable at all times regardless of the event. | Maintained throughout |
| Rear loading areas | Deliveries arrive early and need the back of the plaza open. | Before deliveries start |
| Cart corrals and garbage enclosures | Keeps the lot tidy and the enclosure usable through the winter. | Each visit |
Through The Growing Season
The same crew handles the property in summer. Grass cutting, bed maintenance, spring and fall clean-ups, mulch, pruning and seasonal colour at the entrances and pylon sign.
Litter control matters more at a plaza than almost anywhere else, because it is the first thing a customer notices and the first thing a tenant complains about. It is part of the regular visit, not an extra.
One contract and one contact covers both seasons, so you are not coordinating two contractors over the same parking lot.
