Seasonal And
Per-Event Contracts
Two ways to buy winter service. We recommend the one that fits the property and the budget, and we put both numbers in the proposal so you can compare them.
Choosing A Structure
A seasonal contract is a fixed price for the winter, usually billed in equal monthly instalments. You know the number in October and it does not change, whether the winter is mild or brutal. Most commercial and property management clients choose this.
Per-event billing charges for each visit at agreed rates. It costs less in a light winter and more in a heavy one, and it suits sites with low traffic or budgets that can absorb the swing.
We will quote both and tell you which one we think fits. A site with heavy salt use and unpredictable freeze-thaw often works out better as a hybrid, with seasonal plowing and salting billed per application.
Contract Types
| Option | How it is billed | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Seasonal | Fixed price for the season, usually in equal monthly instalments. | Budget certainty. Most commercial and property management clients. |
| Per-event | Each plow or salt visit billed at agreed rates. | Lower traffic sites, or budgets that can absorb a heavy winter. |
| Hybrid | Seasonal plowing with salting billed per application. | Sites where salt use swings a lot from year to year. |
| Time and material | Hourly equipment and labour rates. | One-off relocation, hauling and storm clean-up. |

From Enquiry To Contract
Site Walk
We walk the property with you, measure it, and record operating hours, lot layout, walkway priorities, pile locations and anything that needs protecting.
Written Proposal
You get a written proposal with the service plan, the trigger depths, what is included, both pricing structures, and insurance and WSIB attached.
Pre-Season Setup
Once signed, stakes and markers go in, the site is added to a region route, and the crew that will service it through the winter walks it before the first snowfall.
