Snow Plowing
Lots, drive aisles, laneways and loading areas cleared to the trigger depth agreed before the season, with repeat passes through long storms.
How Plowing Is Scheduled
Every property has a trigger depth written into its service plan. Once the forecast or the site reaches that depth, the crew assigned to your region is dispatched. You do not have to call us.
In a long storm the lot is cleared more than once. Waiting for the snow to stop means pushing a much heavier load, blocking your entrances for longer and leaving a packed base that will not come up.
A clean-up pass follows once the snow has ended, to take back the areas that filled in and open up anything that was blocked by parked vehicles during the storm.

Equipment And Where It Is Used
We own our equipment and stage it in your service region before the storm.
| Machine | Where we use it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Wheel loader with box pusher | Large lots, industrial yards and distribution sites. | Moves the most snow per pass |
| Farm tractor with plow | Mid-size lots, laneways and internal roadways. | Fast over long runs |
| Snow blower | Deep snow and windrows where there is nowhere to push. | Throws rather than piles |
| Skid steer | Tight corners, islands, dumpster pads and ramps. | Works where a loader cannot turn |
| Sidewalk tractor | Walkways, sidewalks and pedestrian routes. | Sized for a sidewalk |
| Plow truck with V-box salter | Smaller lots and multi-site routes. | Plows and salts in one visit |
| Tandem dump truck | Hauling snow off site. | Used once storage is full |
What Happens In A Storm
Forecast And Dispatch
We monitor the forecast and dispatch crews to their regions before the snow starts. Equipment is already on site or close to it when the trigger is reached.
First Pass
Entrances, fire routes and main drive aisles open first, then the rest of the lot. In long events the crew returns on a set interval rather than waiting for the storm to end.
Clean-Up Pass
Once the snow stops, we take back the areas that filled in, clear around vehicles that have since moved, square up the piles and salt the surface.
